Tohoshinki's new song <Toki wo Tomete> (T/N Stop the Time) has garnered a lot of attention from the fans. It's because this song "can only be heard in the cinemas".
The romantic song sung by Tohoshinki <Toki wo Tomete> was first known to people in August 2009 as a CF song for Mernard. In the CF, you can only hear the climax of the song, and because it was not released on a CD or available for mobile downloads, so this only allowed fans to hear 10 seconds of this dreamy song.
Right now, during the ending roll of "TOHOSHINKI THE LIVE 2009" which is being shown in 19 cinemas throughout Japan, a 3 minute and 40 second part of the song was played to be a "short version" of the song. Since fans had realised that this was a new song, so the phenomenon of of the audience staying behind after the movie finished - a image of the fans silently listenly to <Toki wo Tomete>.
It was not reported that the song <Toki wo Tomete> would be broadcasted on the ending of the show, maybe this was a surprise that Tohoshinki gave to their fans, and this therefore attracted a lot of attention.
At the same time, requests for the song to be released on a CD has increased. Right now, as a response to the fans requests, the company has begun thoughts on digitally releasing the song first. But from only being able to hear it for a short time at the cinemas, has made this song into a popular fantasy-like love tune.
