The Oricon Chart for the first week of November has been taken over by Korean singers.'
Korean singers have made their mark on the Japan's November Oricon Chart. Singer BoA, groups TVXQ and Big Bang as well as singer cum actor Ryu Siwon have all ranked in the top 10 in branches of the Oricon Chart.
According to Oricon Style on the 3rd, Big Bang's third Japanese single '声をきかせて' ranked third on the daily single charts. On this same day, Ryu Siwon's '万華鏡' ranked fourth on the daily album charts as well.
This is not all. BoA and TVXQ have also shown their strength and secured spots on the weekly charts.
BoA's 28th Japanese single 'Bump Bump!' ranked 8th on the weekly single charts. TVXQ's popularity is still going. TVXQ, who set the record as the first non-Japanese, Asian artiste to rank first on the Total DVD Oricon Chart with their Tokyo Dome Live DVD, ranked at 3rd with their new 'History in Japan Volume 4' DVD.
One K-pop representative said, "BoA and TVXQ were already popular, top stars in Japan who have made their mark, and Ryu Siwon's albums are selling well due to his popularity from his status as a Hallyu star." He also explained that, "In the case of Big Bang, although they are rookies, their unique songs have gathered quite a number of fans so their album is selling well."
