SM Entertainment will be having a ‘Global Talent Audition,’ searching for the future stars around the world.
SM Entertainment Global Audition ’09 in the USA & Canada is set to be on the 15th of November, starting from Los Angeles. The other cities and dates for the audition will be: Toronto (22nd), Vancouver (22nd), New York (27th to 28th) respectively.
The audition categories are for singers, actors, fashion and CF models, dancers, composers and writers. There is no age limit, as long as you are Asian. The way to register is to send in a simple self-introduction with photo to SM Entertainment's mailbox at 2009sm@smtown.com, or simply register on the audition day.
Successful applicants who won the final round of audition will be given a chance to sign a contract with SM. All the fees for training and the courses to prepare you for being a international star will be shouldered by them.
The successful artistes by SM Entertainment are Kangta, BoA, Dong Bang Shin Ki, Super Junior, Zhang Li Yin, SNSD, SHINee, f(x), etc, and it is estimated that the audition will receive good response. The artists that SM Entertainment had through the ‘Global Audition’ are Dong Bang Shin Ki’s Micky Yoochun, Super Junior's Kim Kibum and Hangeng, Girls' Generation's Tiffany, and TRAX J, etc.
Through the audition, SM had successfully 'unearthed' Henry from Super Junior-M at Toronto on 2006, and Amber of f(x) from California on 2007.
